Learn about wildlife corridors, sandhill cranes, and land stewardship while enjoying a hike (approx 3-5 miles round-trip) to the Preserve’s cottonwood riparian area. Detailed directions will be sent to attendees a couple of days prior to the hike. Snacks, water, comfy walking/hiking shoes, and a rain jacket are a good idea!

Join us as we celebrate the official opening of our new Gene and Mim Effler Trail. This short, accessible trail leads to a viewing platform overlooking a beautiful fen. These sensitive wetlands are part of the Bridge Creek Watershed Protection District.
Limited carpooling and shuttle seats are available leaving from the Islands & Ocean Visitor Center at 1:45pm, or head up on your own.
